How is tantric sex different from regular sex?

We can look at sex from different levels.

On a biological level, it is about procreation, continuing the species.

On a relationship level, it is about giving and receiving love and intimacy.

On a sacred, tantric level it is about being aware of our sexuality and using our sexuality as a vehicle for bringing in more pleasure to our body, achieving deeper and more fulfilling satisfaction – using our sexual energy to support us.

The word “sacred” is a subject to very individual interpretations. I would like to invite you to look at what is sacred in your life, the things you are grateful for. Relationship with your loved ones, your work, for instance, or whatever is it that you consider Higher Awareness or Higher Level of Being.

There are a lot of reasons why we engage in our sexuality and one of the beautiful things about the tantric path is embracing all and rejecting nothing – there are so many different aspects of our sexuality that we can explore , from the sublime to the mundane.

If you think about it, sexuality creates life itself. There is no energy that is more potent that we possess in our bodies than our sexual energy.

Sex does not have to be superficial, quick and just ok. Sex can be unrushed, sensual and epic.
